"If you have chosen to be a modern pentathlete you will face one of the greatest challenges of your life.  You will be challenging yourself physically, mentally and emotionally.  The successful pentathlete knows their weaknesses and works to improve them.  As pentathletes we are humbled daily, as we must train each event with those that are specialist in their own field.  By meeting and competing with those that are great in their own sport we learn, and we use what we learn to achieve our goals.  The beauty of the modern pentathlon is that there is always somewhere to improve.  My advice is to learn to enjoy every part of this sport".
