ATHLETES CONTRACT

  AGREEMENT BETWEEN CAMPA AND THE ATHLETES

This contract is between CAMPA and all athletes who have qualified to compete internationally. This Athlete's Contract is intended to outline the rights and obligations of both parties. The guiding principle and intent is to create a fair and unbiased selection for qualifying competitions. CAMPA will ensure that athletes are provided with the following resources to achieve their goals:

(1)       Medical Support and advice from the Team Physician;

(2)        Information on forthcoming competitions;

(3)        Competition opportunities based on the CAMPA ranking list;

(4)        Advice on travel and arrangements for competitions;

(5)        Opportunity for appeal of the selection.

  The Athletes will commit themselves to work toward the goal of international competition at their own level, having in mind the necessity for equal commitment from each athlete to ensure fairness to all, and will:

 (1)      Sign the attached CAMPA Code of Conduct

(2)        Complete required documentation and produce results at the time and in the manner requested by the Selection Committee;

(3)        Equip themselves as expected and outlined in the UIPM rule book;

(4)        Notify CAMPA and their team mates immediately if they intend to withdraw from the selection process.    Understand that approval of the CAMPA Team Physician, is required if an athlete wishes to defer participation in a selection competition;

(5)        Understand that ranking for competition selection is of the utmost importance;

(6)        Acknowledge that the number of places we are able to secure in international  competitions is limited, and, therefore, 

(7)        Accept the qualifying competitions for which they are selected.
